Congratulations to Eric and Marque. They had a little boy Bon Anthony Schmutz. Born on Monday Jan. 26 at 2:43 p.m. 8'1 21in. Marque had a rough delivery. When she was in labor she got a fever. When you get a fever like that it can mean infection. So they got her started on antibiotics. They said that the baby could get the infection also. So as soon as the baby was born the baby would have to go to the NICU. Then while she was pushing the baby had a bowel movement inside her. Which isn't good either. She finally delivered and they rushed him over to clean his lungs out. We were all so scared cause he didn't cry. They finally got him stabilized and let her look at him for five seconds and rushed him to the nicu unit. He is doing good and is a little trooper. Hopefully Sunday he can come home.

Oh how cute! Those things can be scary! Avery stopped breathing, and I had c-section so I couldn't get up so I hadn't noticed, good thing the nurse was in there standing right next to her and she noticed. C-section babies have a lot of mucus in their lungs so we had to watch her close. I hate stuff like that. Marque is going to be such a cute little mommy! CONGRATS MARQUE!
He is adorable! Congrats to Marque! Similar thing happened when I had ellie. As I was delivering her my placenta abrupted (sp?), and she swallowed a ton of blood. She was not crying when she came out and I was like "why is she not crying." The doc told jason to hurry and cout the cord, and said that we did not want her to cry yet cuz she had just swallowed a ton of blood and did not want her to inhale it. Luckily at the hospital I was at they have a respratory (sp?) therapist in the room for delivery and he pumped all of it out. 16 blood clots... ewe! ANyway, it was scary. So glad to hear he is ok!
im so happy 4 marque & eric.. their bon, bon baby boy is soo stinkin HANDSOM!! wow.. wut a cute baby. i was glad dara & i got 2 see them in the hospital...
He's adorable, and those lips are so beautiful, congrats...your sis looks great for just delivering, good job mama...

Yah Schmutz Fam. Bon is a little babe! I am totally liken that you girls are getting some dudes up over in there! Kash told me about the babes and Marque so I'm glad all is well! send her our best and a big momma squeeze from me
Mel, I am so sorry for that little scare...only it wasn't so little! Shelly told me that she saw you & that her feeling was things weren't very good. So I am so glad to hear that beautiful baby boy is doing good & that his mommy & daddy can take him home today. Congrats to your sis & to you for being an auntie!
he is adorable. that was my labor exactly with gavin! it was terrible not havin him cry while they do that! i am glad he is doing good. tell her congrats!!!
